County K9 Goes Missing During Training Exercise

k9sheriff missing jackPHOTO: A K9 dog went missing yesterday during a training exercise, the Sheriff’s Department said. Jack went missing while training at the Allaire State Park at around 2:00pm, and the Department is hoping someone will recognize it and return it.

Jack is a brown chesapeake bay retriever, and its skill is scent work and tracking. Jack is not an attack dog, the Department said this morning.

Allaire State Park borders Wall Township and Howell Township. Wall Twp Police and Howell Twp Police have been notified.
