Construction Worker Caught On Wires Saved By Quick-Thinking Lakewood Police Officer And Volunteer Firefighter [PHOTOS]

A construction worker in Lakewood was saved from serious injury, or worse, after his ladder somehow became dislodged while working on cable wires this afternoon.

A witness tells TLS he stepped outside his house and saw the worker hanging from the wires while attached to his harness.

A responding police officer was able to hold up the man on his shoulders so he was no longer hanging, while a volunteer firefighter, who happened to be near by, brought a truck underneath, which allowed him to come down safely.

The worker was transported by Lakewood EMS to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus with minor injuries.

Hatzolah of Central Jersey and the Lakewood Fire Department responded as well.

  1. LPD are more focused on public safety than the other ones not from Lakewood who are here occasionally just to make money
