The office of U.S. Congressman Chris Smith has notified TLS that the Congressional Hearing on behalf of Jacob Ostreicher has been set for June 6, at 10AM. The Hearing, requested by Congressman Smith, will focus on the U.S. State Department’s inadequate response to the Human Rights concerning the American incarcerated without charges in Bolivia.
Witnesses at the Hearing will include Jacob’s wife, Mrs. Miriam Unger, his daughter Mrs. Chaya Gitty Weinberger, as well as retired FBI Special Agent Mr. Steve Moore. TLS.
Thank you Mr. Smith! You were very instrumental with the David Goldman case and I hope you can help the Ostreicher family. I also hope that this can bring more awareness to this desperate situation.
Thank you Congressman Smith.
I have been watching news stories covering the Jacob Ostreicher ordeal for a number of months, feeling somewhat helpless as Mr. Ostreicher has been subjected to unjustified incarceration in a phenomenally dangerous prison system.
I applaud your efforts.
Congressman Smith thank you for all you do, May G-d bless you and your family.
Congressman Smith –
As a member of the extended community, it is with heartfelt gratitude that I thank you for your genuine efforts in helping make a positive difference to so many lives. It is the great humanitarians of history, such as yourself – whose names have never and will never be forgotten!
May all your efforts be blessed with success!!
Could somebody explain to me for once and for all why his wifes name is Unger???
#5: Not everyone has their legal name changed upon marraige!
Thank you congessman Smith!
not that i’m unappreciative for what congressman smith is doing, but why did it take so long to address this situation? this man, ostreicher, has been sitting in jail in a foreign land while the U.S. has been dragging its’ feet. i feel sorry for his wife and family.
Could we please have his full name? I would like to say Tehillim daily and beseech the Ribono shel Oilem who is the Matir Assurim to make this mission successful.
The person who was instrumental in the start of this was Steve Langert.
Great Job- Steve
It is great that he took action on this recent problem of this single individual. It is unfortunate that he has been ‘missing in action’ on the decade old problems effecting tens of thousands of children in the Lakewood school system.
