The condition of the Lakewood woman struck by lightning in NY yesterday improved overnight and she remains in critical, but stable condition, Fallsburg police say. The park employee’s condition also had improved last night. As of last night, his vision was better and he was alert and stable at Westchester, police say.
The woman was in a boat with three others and was stranded as a storm blew through the area.
According to witnesses, as the man was assisting the Lakewood woman, lightening hit the water and both were thrown into the lake, and were thrown into Cardiac Arrest.
However their pulses were restored by the time firefighters and ambulance arrived, and were taken by Hatzolah Medics to Catskill Regional Medical Center, and were then transferred to Westchester Medical Center. TLS/Times Harold
