The following letter of support to Senator Singer is from ‘Concerned Citizens’, apparently from Seniors of the Enclave and Fairways. However, there are no names behind the letter and TLS cannot confirm its source: Dear Residents,
We call your attention to the upcoming Republican primary election scheduled for June 8, 2010, wherein one seat on the Lakewood Township Committee is up for a vote. The incumbent candidate is Committeeman, Sen. Robert Singer. Bob has been a friend to all of his constituents, and he especially looks out for the seniors. He has helped us achieve many of our goals and objectives for our section of Lakewood Township where Bob is also a resident. If you are unaffiliated or not a registered Republican; you may assign your party affiliation at the polling place. If after the election, you wish to become unaffiliated again, you can do so.
We want to remind you of the perils that we face in our section of Lakewood Township. Specifically, we are under siege by uncontrolled development that is affecting your quality of life. Bob is a major force in helping us to get our message of concern, frustration, and anger to the legislative body.
We are fortunate to have Sen. Robert Singer as a friend and ally. He has our support, and we hope that you will consider voting for him also. The alternative candidate has not demonstrated the insight, judgment, and experience that Bob has shown through the years.
For all of these reasons, we hereby endorse Sen. Robert Singer as our candidate for the Lakewood Township Committee. Please come to the polling place and cast your vote for Bob.

Very shvache endorsement. Doesn’t say anything bob has done for the town in his 20 years. By the way since when is bob antidevelopement? Another question: I understand that since I’ve been living in lakewood there have been a bunch of senior developments built. Are those not called “overdeveloping”? Or if the one writing the letter lives in one of them it doesn’t count? Get real…I think this letter is representing one persons opinion and is trying to fool people by making like its from a “group” most seniors don’t like Singer

I am personally very involved with the fairways and this letter means absolutly nothing ! because most of the fairways residents are voting for Harold Hershkowitz for that very reason that bob singer is the one responsible for all the new developments shooting up in lakewood without any real smart planning behind it as well as bob singer is the one responsible for our taxes going up by crazy numbers every year so here are 2 very big reasons why fairways should be voting for Harold Hershkowitz and i know they will be !!! and to have a letter published endorsing any party without a signature is a joke and it means absolutly nothing so therefor im sure that the enclave residents will reallize as well that there is nothing true behind this letter published and with all of us coming together on June 8th and voting for the one and only Good one for the town of lakewood which is HAROLD HERSHKOWITZ then he will win and we will see great results for our town.

What is a “frimmer”?
This letter is a disgrace and degrading to ALL citizens. It degrades us all by insinuating that we are not concerned citizens and that only they are.
We may have different opinions but let’s puts out names and isuues on the table. Avi Solomon has posted his endorcement like a JOHN HANCOCK, and if you want to endorce singer go right ahead but do it similarly and open by signing your name. If you do not have the backbone to do so then your “backing” is worthless and disgracefull.

You should not be able to post a blog or a letter that represents the *people* without a signature. Anyone could have written it and made it like it represents a segment of people. Bob could have written it.

I find this anonymous letter to have more value then Hershel’s claim of having anonymous Rabbonim supporting him.Of course it doesn’t speak well for either/any candidate when even their supporters are too embarrassed to be publicly associated with them.

HH never bows to anyone, but Hashem. All the endorsements for Bob have been based on his activities as Senator. No one is giving him credit for his time on the Township Committee. This election is not for the Senate seat, only the spot on the Township Committee that he currently holds. Remember, it’s not Bob’s seat, it’s the people’s seat!!
Your statement is false Hershel Hershkowitz had queit a few valid endorsments on TLS that we’re not annonymos such as Rabbi A.L. Shteinman, R'[ Yudel Shain and more.
So you may want to take back your dumb statement
Bob has nothing nice to say about HH, and wouldn’t shake his hand when it was offered. If Bob can’t dignify his political opponent with a handshake, then the electorate does not have to dignify him with our vote!
