Communicated: Woman Wakes Up to Find Husband Dead

It was a typical morning, and Orly Tsadok of Jerusalem attempted to wake her husband before getting the children ready for school. However it soon became apparent that something was horribly wrong: Rabbi David had died in his sleep. He had not been ill.

Orly, a woman in her forties, is now solely responsible for supporting 7 children. Up until this point she had focused on raising the family, while her husband managed their expenses. All that changed the moment he passed away.

A visitor to the home reports that Rabbi Tsadok zt”l’s tefillin are still sitting on the dining room table.  Chaos surrounds them, dirty laundry and general disarray. Fatherless children wander through the hallways in a state of shock. The tefillin remain in their place as if this might all have been a dream, and their father may walk through the door at any moment.

But it has not been a dream. And the Tsadok family has run out of money for rent, food, and clothing.

An emergency fund has been opened in hopes of getting them back on their feet during this painful time.
