A comment submitted on a TLS article, prompted a donor to offer $1,000 to sponsor a Bike 4 Chai biker. The comment submitted by ‘lakewood runner’ on the article reads, “I would join. I’m an experienced runner. But they make you pay the 1,000 if you cant find a sponsor. I’m a good runner, but a bad shnnorer”. After reading the comment, TLS received another comment saying, “Dear Lakewood Runner, If you are serious about doing the trip I will give you the $1,000. You can then try and raise more. This is in honor of my favorite neice Camper P.B. If ur serious email me”.
TLS contacted Chai Lifeline to verify the authenticity of the comment and email posted, and indeed it was.
Editor’s note: To ‘lakewood runner’: If you would like to accept the offer, please post your email in the comments section of this article, (which we will not publicize), and we will send you the donor’s email address.
