Cleaning Lady Admits To Stealing Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Jewelry And Selling For Hundreds

A cleaning lady admitted she stole her employer’s jewelry worth thousands of dollars, and then sold the valuables for a couple hundred dollars, the Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch says.

At about 8 PM yesterday evening, LCSW received a call from a homeowner who said a Hispanic woman who she suspected of stealing her jewelry several months ago, has returned to her home for work.

Several members responded to the home, and when the homeowner and the members confronted her with the accusations, she admitted to the theft. The woman confessed to stealing jewelry worth about $3,000, and selling it for about $200.

LCSW phoned police, who took the woman in for questioning. (TLS-24 A/B, TLS-43).

When it happens to you you can call the police 1st. Why can’t people just mind the own business. We’re all big enough to make our own decisions.

NUMBER 1 You can find american citizens who are willing to work as a cleaning lady?

I have cleaning women who are citizens. Own their own homes and are Hispanic. One thing you must do is get the name, address and telephone numbers of your cleaning people. If you tell the police that “Marie” stole your stuff and you don’t know her last name, where she lives, etc they can’t help you. Actually, you should also have their SS number since you should give her a W-2, and File Form 942 with FICA taxes if you pay them over $600 per year.

To # 1 – american citizens don’t need to work anymore. Uncle Obama pays the bills! And he also builds us roads and bridges…

Rabboisei, please don’t assume that your cleaning help won’t steal from you. Keep your valuables hidden in a fireproof box with a good lock. Keep cash in a wallet on your person or in the fireproof box. Treat your cleaning help nicely (pay on time, say thank you, give them a cold drink and lunch) and they will value their job and won’t want to jeapordize it by stealing from you. Oh, and do realize that they know a lot more English than they usually let on, so be very careful what you say when they are within earshot. The only issues I have ever heard of with cleaning help stealing is when people are foolish with their belongings or when they treat their help poorly (or both).

Please post a picture of the culprit. Why let her prey on other people if you can stop it by publicizing her identity?

By the way, there are Americans that clean, and you can speak directly to them and get the feeling that they understand. They have insurance and an American identity so if you needed to go after them, you could . However, they are a drop more expensive. But they don’t steal your jewelry, or destroy your oven glass, or shove shmattes down your toilet, so it might be cheaper to hire Americans. You may be pleasantly surprised.

to #10 sounds like our house too
its our house and we are responsibly for what goes on in it. i tell my child that its our house and if we want it to be nice and clean then we all have to help out.
funny thing is that whenever my husband mows the grass people stare like oh my a yid is mowing his own grass.

I guess its time to start cleaning the house on your own..it doesn’t take long if you keep up on it…I know with the kids its a lot harder but there I believe is more satisfaction rather than having someone you don’t know “clean up” and you lose..

Why call Lcsw? I’ll tell you why I happen to know that the police didn’t want to deal with the cleaning lady till Lcsw called them in by themselves , and only then did they decide to respond

My take

1. I will start asking for a quick id and make a copy, this will give a drp of pachad. Second if chas v’shalom something happened half of lakewood would know about it.

I heard that if you have renters insurance you can make a claim. . .

guess what

the cleaning woman ripped off the homeowners , and she got ripped off too! what a fool to accept hundreds for jewelry worth thousands! hope they track down the (moderated) who bought the jewelry off her and all involved get what they deserve……like deportation! (assuming they are illegals, which they probably are)

Why didn’t they call pd right away why lcsw first

My Take

I do everything myself, cleaning, yardwork, cooking,(I don’t eat out). I also work outside my home. I raised my kids to do things around the house too. Now they are responsible adults who don’t take everything for granted and hopefully are bringing up their kids the same way. Now, I’m not saying you shouldn’t have help if you need it, but, I know some people who think they must have a cleaning lady and would never dream of doing it themselves or asking their kids to help. I think it’s a shame.

I am looking for a steady cleaning lady and would prefer someone american or even jewish, I’m willing to pay more and even help her….but I am still actively looking…if u have any leads I’m more than happy to hear. I have a safe so unless she plans on walking out with my couch and bedroom set I’m not too nervous. And btw ifiknewthen…its 941 not 942 and u may not havta file u can include a schedule h along with ur regular return 1040 for household employees but that’s a taxing issue u gotta ask ur acct

My question is simply why the jewelry and valuables are not stowed away in a safe??? Such things should never be left out in the open, cleaning lady or not, American citizen or not. Security cameras are also a good idea and helped me catch my cleaning lady in the act. She got arrested.

My Take, we are all very proud of you. You are a paragon of virtue, a role model to us all. May Hashem grant me the koach to do all that you do and the humility to understand that we are not all the same. And that’s okay.
