CIU Investigating Multiple Home Burglaries

Authorities are investigating multiple home burglaries which occurred over Shabbos, residents are reporting. Break-ins occurred in the area of Newberry Court, as well as on Ponderosa Drive in Pine River.

In at least one of the burglaries, the thief made entry through a rear window of the home.

It’s unknown at this time what was taken from the homes.

CIU is investigating.

why do most of these burglaries occur during Shabbos? Are people more lax about security?

You live in Lakewood and will continue to be victims if you do not take the necessary measures to protect yourselves from these things. This is a broken record

It’s come to a point where People need to beef up security in their homes. Gated windows and alarmed systems…

Lcsw would have loved to have patrols over shabbos but nobody supports them so to bad on you

At least 2 of these “break ins” occurred in homes through windows that were left opened. Nothing had to be “broken in to”.

Check your windows at night before going to bed…. especially if you have a cleaning lady

Complain, complain, complain. That’s all the residents seem to do. If you really wanted to do something how about shunning the slum lords who are renting to the lowlife who are breaking into your homes and cars. You know who the landlords are.

These crimes will be solved shortly by the fine Lakewood Detective Bureau! Mr. SmithStaff will lead his crew and arrest those hoodlums! I’m sure that new young spiff dressin fellow from those tent city disasters already has the case solved!

no need for more police just we need to help them by protecting ourselves by locking doors or windows !!

It’s obvious that some people aren’t really that concerned about break ins, and that’s why they don’t take precautions. I don’t really think its necessary to write about this over and over again.

YOU CAN HAVE 1,000 POLICE OFFICER ON PATROL IN LAKEWOOD = THAT DOESN’T MEAN YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR CAR UNLOCKED WITH VALUABLES CLEARLY VISIBLE, AND YOUR HOMES’ WINDOWS & DOORS UNLOCKED.

A little self preservation & responsibility & precautions go a long way to NOT falling victim to the tenants of slum-lords.

Stop complaining and start to lock your doors and windows at night,or when you are not home. Seems like people like to complain about everything but don’t want to do anything to help themselves.
