The Dead Sea Scrolls is amazing–its educational and fun at the same time!! ITS A MUST SEE!!
I took my kids–they did not think they would like it and they ended up loving it–and they were teenagers of all ages!!
The sky ride is fun too–u can spend the entire day with these two activities!
THANKYOU LAKESOOD SCOOP!
I went to see the dead sea scrolls exhibit a few weeks ago. I paid $27 and I enjoyed it very much. If you have time Chol Hamo’ed this would be a good place to go. And for only $15! I may go again with my family.
The deal on the skyline Ride is also phenominal! I ended up paying for everyone 24$…by a street Vendor/Broker…..
Won’t take my kids to Manhattan
could the tickets for the skyride be used all year?
A trip to Manhattan in itself is very expensive.I went to the Living Torah Museum right herein Lakewood and it was awesome!
You have to pick up the tickets in Boro Park.
But did the rabbonim let you go to Manhattan??? I find it repulsive the the Yam Hemelech Klaf should be exposed to the ruchniyos stench of Manhattan! A shanda! A charpa! And you take your children!?! Oi lonu meyom hadin! Oi lonu meyom hatochacha! Abie Rottenberg’s song, “The Place Where I Belong” (see Shmorg 4 – with Rabbonim consent, of course) rings so true!
Re “Won’t take my kids to Manhattan” – why not?
Have you considered that it may be better if they know that it exists and they have some sense as to what parts of it are OK and kosher? Why not take them to central park. No pritzus as this time of the year and it’s healthy for them to get out.
In the long run, you may well be very sorry that you have sheltered them so much.
