Children Miraculously Uninjured When Drunk Brick Driver Crashes On Lakewood Road; Driver Arrested In Jackson

[VIDEO OF VEHICLE FLEEING SCENE] Children and adults enjoying the evening yesterday luckily avoided tragedy when an alleged drunk driver came plowing down their usually-quiet Lakewood road.

At about 6:45 PM yesterday evening, a drunk woman driving a pickup truck came speeding down St. Katherine Street, where children were playing at the time, a neighbor relates to TLS.

When the driver hit the dead-end, she attempted to turn around and crashed into a vehicle multiple times, the neighbor says.

“It was a Nes (miracle) that no children were injured,” the neighbor says. “The street was full of children playing at the time.”

Another neighbor tells TLS her children were in the dead-end road moments prior to the incident, but they called in the children to go for Kaporos.

Phil Stilton of JacksonOnline.com tells TLS the driver, from Brick, was later apprehended by Jackson Police, and was charged with DWI and multiple other charges and was released with a summons pending a court-appearance. TLS.

#6 you grew up in Lakewood during the riots in the sixties. You mean to tell me that was better then today? Who are you fooling?

Lakewood is a very nice place to live. Especially compared to many other places. Anyone who keeps complaining about this place is welcome to move. People who are proud of their comunity enhance it.

#8 the riots were confined to a certain area of the town. They didn’t last as long as other places and Lkwd wasn’t the only town with riots. One incident didn’t ruin a town. Whats going on daily in Lkwd, that’s been going on for years, has ruined the town.
