Child Taken To Jersey Shore After Being Struck By Vehicle

hatz pedestrian struckHatzolah has just transported a child to Jersey Shore Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred on 6th Street and Princeton Avenue, when the child playing at the playground apparently ran into the road from between parked vehicles, TLS is told. The child sustained non life-threatening injuries.

  1. There are alot of unattended kids playing…its a ongoing problem in Lakewood…alot of schools use parking lots as playgrounds where cars come & go…this should change.

  2. I was in Chateau Park last night at about 9:15PM. Kids running freely in and out of the streets like one big playground. And it’s pretty dark there.Totally irresponsible.

  3. i hate to say it but so many times i see adults crossing streets on cell phones totally oblivious to the cars…and so many men j-crossing route 9 it is so dangerous being that cars from the side streets (7th and 8th etc..) are looking to turn onto route 9 and you dont always see those jay crossing…you need to cross by a traffic light on route 9 even if you are running to yeshiva..may hashem watch over all his precious children and may everyone start using common sense when walking..driving etc…
