Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck On Pine Street

hatz_monoc_rigHATZOLAH transported a patient to the Hospital moments ago after being struck by a vehicle on Pine Street and Marc Drive, near Forest Park. First Hatzolah members arriving on scene requested paramedics to respond as well. Police were also dispatched.

The patient was transported to with Medics to Jersey Shore Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. TLS-55/TLS-CCP/TLS-00

  1. No idea what the situation was, but I have found that people walking in streets during & after snows need to walk as close to the side as possible. Cars do slide on snowy roads & are not always in control. I braked to stop & make a right turn & my car kept going straight.

  2. cars should understand that in such weather- where the road is slippery & people in Lakewood tend not to shovel paths in front of thier homes- that when they do see someone walking in the street- SLOW DOWN!! noone wants to walk in middle of the road if they don’t have to!

  3. I get TOSed for reminding people there is an ordinance about shoveling walks. Then TLS puts in a large article about the very same ordinance. ??????
