Child Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle in Lakewood

A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Lakewood this morning.

The accident happened shortly before 9:00 AM in the Somerset Walk development on Pine Street.

Hatzolah paramedics treated the 4-year-old girl before transporting her to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Injuries are reportedly serious but not life-threatening.

Police are investigating the incident.
