Child Burned after Gas Can Goes up in Flames

lfd tls (2)A child received severe burns this afternoon after a gas can went up in flames, officials tell TLS.

Officials say it’s unclear how the gas can caught fire, setting fire to the approximately 12-year-old’s pants and burning his leg.

The Fire Department was called, but upon arrival the fire was already extinguished.

The child was driven by a parent to the hospital for treatment.

The Fire Marshal’s office and police responded to the scene as well, officials say.

  1. How many burn victims (kids) this year alone in Lakewood? Let’s not include last year’s. Don’t get it. Best to him. Hope he makes a full recovery. Burns hurt!
