CHEMED recently hosted a community CHEMED Talks event on “The Magic of the First Year: Nurturing, Bonding and Infant Development,” an evening geared toward pregnant and new mothers. The session brought parents together both in person at CHEMED South and over Zoom, creating a warm and engaged audience eager to learn more about the earliest stages of their baby’s development.
The program featured our River Pediatrics providers Dr. Chaim Mordechai Golub, PA Chaya Kramer and PA Yehudis Silver, who discussed the “newborn medical manual,” including the top five tips every new mother should know. Their guidance focused on practical tools for the first months of life and the medical milestones families often ask about.
Esther Gersten, LCSW from CHEMED Behavioral Health added a meaningful layer by explaining how to build healthy attachment and nurture emotional development during infancy. Her insights helped parents better understand the behaviors, bonding patterns and early relationships that shape a baby’s first year.
For anyone who missed it or wants to revisit the discussion, a full recording is now available on the CHEMED website.
CHEMED looks forward to continuing to offer supportive and informative programs for families throughout our community.
