CHEMED tells TLS they have already given over 1,000 MMR shots since the Measles outbreak in Lakewood, and counting.
The provider says a new shipment is arriving this morning, and they are offering vaccination walk-ins from 10am 4pm.
To receive the shot, you need to bring your insurance card and vaccination records – if you have them. You do not need to be a CHEMED patient to receive the MMR vaccine and there is no need to change your PCP. If you have a fever or rash, call before you go to CHEMED.
“As per established clinical guidelines please be advised that CHEMED will be giving the MMR vaccine to patients who have received rototeq vaccine within the last 28 days,” CHEMED said.
Very good, we shall do our part, and Hashem [G-D] will surely watch us.
I have a question.
According to the MMR prescribing info sheet available online (from the manufacturer), “MMR should be given one month before or after administration of another live viral vaccine.”
Since I believe the rotateq (rotavirus) vaccine is a live viral vaccine, what “established clinical guidelines” are they referring to?
