CHEMED (Center for Health Education Medicine and Dentistry) has asked us to notify the community that the H1N1 clinic will be open today to the general public from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. or as long as supplies last. The NJ Department of Health has lifted the qualifying restrictions for the H1N1 vaccine (as reported on TLS) and all residents of New Jersey are eligible to receive this vaccination. Both the injectable and the nasal mist will be available at this time. Please note that the shots that they will be administering are only for ages 3 and over. The nasal flu mist can be administered to those ages 2 to 49. There is no charge for these vaccines. All medical questions regarding the vaccines should be addressed to your Doctor. Chemed is located at 1771 Madison Avenue.

I wonder if they will also hold testing sites as well, to see who may be infected and not know it as of yet.
Will I be forced to sign up and become a patient at Chemed in order to receive the vaccine?
0untill now only those who are patients @ Chemed received the vaccine.
to Anonymous: no you will not be forced to become a patient. it is open to the public for tonight and all you have to do is fill out forms to receive the vaccine.
The phone recording I got this morning said monday the 28th that’s next monday. Which is correct? Can Tls find out?
OHI had it for a whilei got my shot there allready I called chemed and they told me I can’t get it even though I’m qualified being that I have a baby less than six months they said only if your a patient there .apparently they want ppl to sign up and boost the numbers
I think a little sefer chofetz chaim is in order for the person who made comment #5. Until this past week the State had not yet lifted its restrictions on who could get the shot. Tonight’s clinic was put together very quickly by CHEMED purely to serve the community. All were invited to come.
Ocean Healtth Inititatives (corner of 2nd and Monmouth) will have shots Tuesday from 5-8. See http://www.ohinj.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=73&Itemid=92
to annon #6
read number 5 again he called chemed b4 the restrictions were lifted bc he Qualified by having an infant CHEMED insisted they are only giving it to their own patients even though at the time anyone who qualified had a right to be vaccinated.
