  1. I would think the builder/ architect would assume full responsibility of such a disaster.

Why are they making a “building campaign” out of this?

  2. As one famous politician (attributed to many ) said ” rule # 1 never waste a crises “.

However Chavrei is from the Mosdos that are bringing Moshiach closer . They literally save Yidisha neshamos . They don’t need Gedolim to pasken that we have to give them money ,Its self explanatory why they deserve our support ,

  3. whos’e fault is this? the architect?
the builder? chavrei hakollel? township inspection dept? let’s hope problem is fixed .B H nobody was hurt.

  4. The origins of this problem goes to cost. Plain and simple. This time they cut to close – either the contractor, design team or by order of the owner. Typically and Architect or Engineer wants to over build but as the bill increases to do this, the owner will demand value engineering. What is the cost of one life lost.

  5. ALLl mosdos need money!!! yet we had some schools that closed down in the begining o this school year and we did not save them why does it take a collapsed loor to get people to give tzedaka?

  6. We need to know who’s faul this is and they should be responsible to pay for the damages. I don’t think this is something that there should be a fundraiser for. I hope this issue gets resolved asap so we can all go back to learning Torah.

  7. Looking at the pics, the building wasn’t complete. How did this pass inspection? How was the owner of this building allowed to occupy if there was no final inspection? Building fund? Wasn’t there insurance? That’s right, you need a final inspection to get insurance.
What if there were injuries? Who would have taken care of the injuries if there was no insurance? Would the owner of this building really have endangered the occupants this way?

  8. Something wasn’t done right and someone is responsible, so someone should have to pay for the repairs. That’s the bottom line. I would think the builder is the responsible party, or the architect if the plans were followed correctly, or the inspection dept.( if they did or did not really inspect properly). (When my house was built, a long time ago, the inspections were a joke. I didn’t think they were worth too much.

Disaster?? It could have been one but Baruch Hashem it wasn’t. Money is money a building is a building, human life can’t be replaced Thank G-d it was NOT a disaster.

  10. This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done

  11. What are they raiseing money for? And why? The building should be covered by someones insurance and if it is not then there should be a fund set up. To repair the building so it can reopen.
