Chaveirim Comes To The Rescue During 5 Hour Blackout

PHOTO: As the lights went dark last night in the Prospect Street area following a transformer fire, Chaveirim volunteers went in to high gear. With several halls beginning Melava Malkas, Chaveirim –equipped with their Special Operations trailer- made their rounds from location to location setting up back-up generators and pulling wires to the affected halls.

Some surrounding developments had their electicity restored about 5 hours after the approximately 8:40 PM blackout.

The quicker response from JCP&L, was due to Kimball Medical Center being affected from the blackout.   TLS.-CAC/TLS-CCP.
