PHOTOS: Besides for dealing with hundreds of ‘standard’ storm calls, Lakewood Chaveirim assisted Lakewood Police in providing mutual aid in rescuing stranded people in the Silverton, Toms River community.
Multiple Chaveirim members assisted in the water rescues, rescuing dozens of people from flooded homes and street.
The Lakewood Police used one of the Humvees and rafts for the rescue, which lasted throughout the night Monday and into Tuesday morning.
By midday Tuesday, authorities were involved in approximately 100 rescues of stranded people from Mantoloking, Lavalette, Ortley Beach, Brick, and Toms River areas. TLS.

There was not enough to do here in Lakewood that Chaveirim had to leave town.
