Changing of the Seasons – Dr. Shanik and CHEMED Remind Lakewood Community to Stay Healthy

Dr. Shanik and CHEMED would like to remind everybody that we are heading into the winter months traditionally associated with cold and flu, and other seasonal illnesses.

There have been recent cases of whooping cough in our community.

We therefore urge everyone to stay up to date with immunizations.

This is essential not only for protecting our children but also for the well-being of our entire community.

We should all be zoche to a safe and healthy winter ahead.

  1. Additionally, as the leaves change colors and fall off, remember that piles of leaves in Lakewood may have ticks. Children playing in leaves need to be checked for ticks. Tick bites need attention. Have a safe season!

  2. how about urging everyone to get enough sleep, cut down on the sugar, dress warmly when going out on a cold day, and drink plenty of fluids, even if you’re not sick, so that you keep your natural immunization at optimal performance.
