PHOTOS: For Joseph Rothenberg of East Brunswick, NJ, luxury cars have always been a passion, yet a far-flung dream. After enduring a hellish year and half of chemo therapy and multiple surgeries, Chai Lifeline NJ & SE helped this dream come to fruition.
In conjunction with Gotham Dream Cars, the 22 year old senior of Yeshiva University participated in a Dream Car Tour.
“Even more special than the experience of driving a number of my favorite dream cars was learning that there are people like you who take such enjoyment in helping people, especially when it appears that there’s no light at the end of the tunnel,” enthuses Joseph after an action packed day.
Gotham Dream Cars put Joseph behind the wheels of 6 different exotic, foreign cars, first training him and then sending him out on the road for nearly 100 miles. An experience described by Joseph as “insane!” as he zipped through the roads at over 110 mph and a dream that lifted his spirits, and gave him the courage to continue fighting. TLS.

What a beautiful story!!
As someone who owns and races a racebike at various racetracks, i can fully understand the thrill this boy got. I see these exotic cars and other racebikes and can not begin to explain the rush that doing 100-170mph can give someone. God Bless this young man, and those fighting through cancer.
If anyone has kids, and wants to show them a great time, a race-track here in NJ (2 hours away) NJMP always has events going on throughout the year. They almost daily have carious sportbike & car clubs having track-days, and the sights, sounds, and excitement is amazing!
May you have a Refuah Shleimah soon! Stay strong!
I am not so sure I like the going 110mph idea. A bit risky I would think. Wishing u a refuah sheleima…..
Thank you Sruli Fried for all you do for all cholim in town.
For a Refuah Shelaima, his name is Yosef Binyamin ben Rivka.
