Chai Lifeline has arranged for the construction of a Class A fire-retardant Succah in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In accordance with CHOP’s requirements, the Succah has been custom-made with fire-retardant wood. Located on the third floor of the Seashore House at CHOP, the Succah is spacious, comfortable, and available to the many frum patients spending yom tov in the hospital. The Succah was made possible through the efforts of Chai Lifeline’s staff and volunteers together with CHOP’s devoted staff.
“Although it is our hope that no families should need to make use of the hospital Succah,” says Rabbi Sruli Fried, MSW, director of Chai Lifeline’s New Jersey region, “as long as there are Jewish patients at CHOP, we will be there to ease their burden.”
Additionally, the Chai House (Chai Lifeline’s apartment located near the hospital) has been equipped with food, arba minim, and a Succah for the families staying there.
Thank you Menashe Miller for arranging this sukka
wow guys great job!
Reb sruli u da man!
Keep it up! Maybe we can ride with dovid egert to chop on chol hamoed
Sruli, as always a true Chabdsker spreading the Rebbie’s message
” will not resrt until every yid is attended to”, Moshiach Now
I thought Sruli was a Skvere, I guess we will need to wait and see if he sleeps in the Sukah to see if he is Chabad or Skver
I hope and pray because CHOP has granted this request (Sukkas) to all the jewish patients and as a grandparent of a non-jewish grandson patient, who had a heart transplant in CHOP 8 years at the age of 17, PLEASE consider giving a donation towards this wonderful request for organ transplant research at this hospital. They are miricale workers and need all the help they can get.
I am a parent of a child that received a heart transplant 8 ago. CHOP is WONDERFUL I live in WV and my son and I lived in his room for almost 5 months and the staff are WONDERFUL. The doctors are the BEST. Please give This hospital works wonders and saved my son. Please give.
I dont know if anyone knows but CHOP is one of the TOP HOSPITALS in the nation for transplants.
Plus we are non-jewish which to me that would not matter. They took care of my son and that is what matters!
