Although you’ve filled out the form with those ‘pesty Census Bureau people’ once, you may be asked to do it again. TLS contacted a Census Bureau Official from Lakewood who said that it is a bit odd that they would ask to fill out the forms a second time, being that nothing is thrown out and all the information collected should still be intact.
However, TLS met up with a Census worker who confirmed that he was told to ‘redo’ some areas, even though the homes have already participated in the Census.
When asked why? Well, that part didn’t get a clear answer.
We do advise however, to ensure that the Census worker knocking on your door is indeed a Census Bureau official, before opening your door to him. TLS-CCP
A second time?! I had 4 people at my door and 2 phone calls. I don’t think I can handle filling out the same form for the 7th time.
and just how would you know if they in fact are a census worker without opening the door , stupid statement . I would say if you sent in the form thats the end of it don’t open the door to someone who says they are a censor worker. ANYONE can say they work for the censor
Maybe they think it is unlikely to have so much growth in such a small area they should just drive down any road in lkwd and see how much triffic there is.
If you answer the census you only will be helping the builders build on wetlands to make lakewood a city without any zoning
It is not hard to realize who is an employee of the U.S. Census Bureau. We all wear name tags that say “U.S. Census Bureau.” If you are still not sure, contact your local U.S. Census Bureau office. The closest office to Lakewood is in Toms River. The phone number is 732-678-5770. Glad to be of assistance. Any questions, please post and I will respond.
they were on my block for the 3-4? time and then by mistake backed up and damaged my car. At least the person was honest and came to tell me.
you dont have to open your door for anybody—what a waste of money
I spoke to someone by phone and I am not opening my door for strangers.
