VIDEO: Low-hanging utility wires caused a cement truck to get tangled up in them today. The incident occurred on Linden Avenue just off North of Ocean Avenue at the intersection of Sterling Avenue.
The Police and Fire departments responded to the scene.
In its attempt to untangle itself from the mess, the truck snapped multiple phone, JCP&L and Internet wires.
JCPL is currently on scene for the repairs.
(See video of the wires snapping as the truck tries to untangle itself).
This is part of JCP&L power line upgrades. The truck driver’s insurance will pay for this repair, instead of JCP&L fixing the drooping wires as part of a preventive maintenance program. Thanks Mr. Truck driver for the upgrade.
sorry number 1 JCPL eats the bill,
It wasn’t a JCP&L line. It was a phone cable. Top to bottom – Electric high tension, electric power to homes, cable company, telephone.
First of all I am so happy that the driver did not electrolosize himself with those JCPL low hanging wires
To You are a Racists (and we are not so you can stop writing that already):
Yes, everyone is just THRILLED that the driver didn’t electrolisize himself. That would have been a real tragedy, especially for his barber.

I think you are wrong about that, but in case you are right that we means that we the rate payer will be getting the bill with higher rate request.
wow! whoever the writers are for TLS articles are just as ignorant regarding grammar and spelling as the many people who post comments .”in an attempt to untangle itself from the mess, the truck….” – how can a TRUCK untangle itself? It was the DRIVER of the truck…..unless the truck is able to drive itself!
BTW – good one Chaim B !
