CAUTION: Multiple Accidents Around Town As First Rain Mixes with Oil-covered Roads

There have been multiple accidents in the Lakewood area today – the first day of significant rain in months.

Take note, that during dry spells, oil and grease from vehicles accumulate on the road surface, which then gets mixed with the first rain, creating a very slippery and slick driving condition – making it the most hazardous time to drive in the rain.

Give yourself extra time to stop and more distance between vehicles.

  1. With Oil/Rain Covered Roads Causing Numerous Accidents Across The Country, President Biden Issues Executive Order Permanently Banning Gasoline-Powered Vehicles
With the US experiencing significant rainfall in recent days, which, in unison with the oil and grease that is constantly being emitted from automobiles, has been accumulating on the roads and causing numerous accidents across the country, President Biden issued an executive order on Thursday permanently banning the use of gasoline-powered vehicles.
“Americans need to understand that the oil they put in their gas tanks is just as dangerous as the oil they put in their foods,” the President told reporters on Thursday.
When asked whether he plans on issuing an executive order to ban all rain, the President told reporters. “Honestly, I would love to ban the rain, but I have no control over the rain; please address all rain-related complaints to the Lord Almighty.”
