Cash, Charity Boxes Stolen in Home Burglaries; Mezuzahs Reportedly Ripped off Shul

lpd logo edited tlsOver the weekend, police responded to several home burglaries and attempted burglaries, Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says. The burglaries occurred in the Hearthstone neighborhood, and police believe it may be the work of one suspect.

The unknown suspect is reported to have taken a pair of shoes, cash and several charity donation boxes during the burglaries, Staffordsmith says.

Also over Shabbos, Mezuzahs were reportedly ripped off the Sterling Place Shul, and a vehicle window was shattered and a purse stolen in the same area, though police have not release information regarding it.

The suspect is possibly a black male, approximately 6′ tall, medium build and last seen wearing a black t-shirt, pants and sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Michael Cavallo at 732-363-0200 ext. 5317.

  1. The suspect is possibly a black male, approximately 6′ tall, medium build and last seen wearing a black t-shirt, pants and sneakers. “Possibly” doesn’t sound like a exact description does it?????
