“United States Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick embodied the selfless spirit of his native state.
“Officer Sicknick was a product of South River and a graduate of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools. Before joining the Capitol Police, he was Staff Sergeant Sicknick with the New Jersey Air National Guard. He was a Fire Team Member and Leader with the 108th Security Force Squadron, 108thWing, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, and his six years of service included overseas deployments in support of Operation Southern Watch and Operation Enduring Freedom.
“Tammy and I send our deepest condolences to Officer Sicknick’s family and friends, as well as to his United States Capitol Police colleagues and the Guardsmen and Guardswomen he served alongside. We thank him for his service to our nation.
“Officer Sicknick gave his life protecting the United States Capitol, and by extension, our very democracy, from violent insurrection. His needless murder at the hands of a mob bent on overthrowing the Constitution he had dedicated his life to upholding is shocking. It is my fervent hope that the rioters whose actions directly contributed to his death are quickly identified and brought to justice.”

How did you conclude that he was “killed” in the riot? According to most news sites the circumstances are unclear
Exactly. Likewise, Murder? I don’t know either way, but that is not consistent with the little that is being reported.
You’re so right…Until it’s proven otherwise, you can presume that was NOT from the protesters.. FAKE NEWS!
You just don’t get it, do you? Election fraud is a lie and does not have one shred of proof. This officer, though, was definitely murdered directly by Donald Trump in cold blood. No proof, detail or circumstances required.
some of the bravest officers in the nation are from jersey
You all are mistaken. It does not matter how he died. Insurrection against the United States is a felony so it is felony murder. If you rob someone and he has a heart attack, that can befelony murder. Or if your accomplice kills. It is death during commission of a felony. The are cases that a crook was charged with murder when his fellow crook was shot.
Don’t get me wrong. Despite my comment above.. I fully agree with @Resident. While I do feel the election was stolen and there was rampant fraud and many parties, including the media are complicit in hiding it… the riot was beyond unacceptable. Anyone who entered the Capitol Building or otherwise used violence should be arrested and prosecuted… and any result like the death of an officer should be treated as a heinous crime if it had any connection to this travesty. Sadly… when it is liberals rioting and looting they do not feel or act the same… but regardless… this kind of violence is always unacceptable despite any double standards. It is unacceptable from ‘conservatives’ the same as it is of liberals.
