A burglar cut the security cameras to the Lakewood Cheder school before burglarizing the building, sources tell TLS. The burglar, or burglars, reportedly cut the lines to the security cameras and then broke a window to gain access to the James Street elementary school building.
Sources tell TLS thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen from the school.
Another location on James Street was reportedly also burglarized last night.
CIU is investigating the incidents.

There have been too many robberies in the area lately. You would think we lived in the city. Why can’t they come down really hard on burglars so that others can see it isn’t a worthwhile investment?! We were recently robbed and the feeling a being violated is pretty horrible. They have no fear to just enter a home when ppl are there sleeping. It’s such a low life crime.
To anonymous (comment #2)- u obviously have been ignoring events around you- you may have issues with some officers looking for small infractions but to answer your question, very MANY criminals have been caught, and several very recently.
there has been alot of breakins on james street and the surrounding streets. we would like lpd lcsw to patrol this aera more often since we have had alot of trouble here.
