A burglar forced his way into a Lakewood home last night while the family was asleep, and stole their vehicle, TLS has learned.
Police responded to the Hearth Court residence Wednesday morning after the victims reported a burglar shattered a rear window, forcing his (or her) way into the home while the family slept.
The victim then “located the victim’s car keys and stole the victim’s car,” police told TLS.
Lakewood’s Detective Bureau and CSI are investigating.

cant they track down the vehicle with the family giving to the police their license plates info?
@sam – maybe
Sam
What makes you think the license plates are still on the car?
So many burglaries happening now…. THey used to tell us it was our fault for not locking our doors….. Looks like the perp here didn’t care too much about locked doors…..
When these burglaries first started all the police told us was that our doors & windows aren’t locked. Well now we see that it wasn’t the case these are real brake ins
are you for real # 1?
Sounds fishy
That is insane…someone will be seriously hurt if they was caught in my home…
45th caliber or a shotgun is a good way to discourage any burglar!
There is obviously a missing piece to this story. Something doesn’t add up. This neighborhood is not an affluent or ostentatious neighborhood. Also, break into a house to steal a car? Please, there are new Camrys and Accords or Siennas all over the place. Why would somebody pick this house to rob a car?
