JUST IN: A Chateau Park residence didn’t exactly wake up to the sound of music today. At about 5:00 a.m. this morning, residents awoke to the sound of the breaking of their kitchen window lock, and the homeowner began making his way to the kitchen to see what had happened.
By the time he got to the kitchen though, the brazen intruder had already entered the home, grabbed a pocketbook and ran.

Was it a basement? There is no kitchen window on the first floor, only a sliding door.

Instead of granite tops when your home is being built invest in a good burglar alarm and not the free ones that are just that worthless. Set it at nite and you have protection. & cellular backup is a must have 4 the system.

Most of the burgalries that happen in our town are not by the Mexican community. If it had been an unfinished home and the copper was taken then maybe. They have way more at stake like getting deported if they get caught.

Anyone that has any inkling what they’re talking about knows that most violent crime and burlaries are not comitted by the Hispanic community. By and large it’s by the other minority we are so fortunate to have as neighbors. In fact the Hispanic community is terrorized by them too because they know that they carry cash. These guys can work their brains out for $8/hr and then get mugged by one of these leeches.
What ever happened to personal responsibility? You build or buy in a questionable neighborhood and don’t take simple precautions to protect your home, that’s making yourself an easy target. Security systems are not expensive.
Yes, we need to stop crime and we need more cops and need to make this town safer, but why not just take a few simple steps to protect yourself? People who live in upscale, safe neighborhoods still put in security systems. Why not here?
