The Lakewood Fire Department this afternoon extinguished a brush fire in Lakewood.
The fire started approximately 3:00 PM in a backyard off of Brook Road, and quickly spread to approximately 100 x 500 feet in size, officials say.
The fire was extinguished before it could spread to nearby homes.
On Friday afternoon, a brush fire burned across the road in the cemetery.
