A man from Brooklyn crashed a JCPL stolen from the company lot, Jackson Police say. At approximately 11:25 PM, Jackson officers responded to the area of West Veterans Highway and Thompson Bridge Road on the report of a motor vehicle crash. It was reported that there was an overturned truck into the woods.
Officers arrived on scene and encountered a man walking in the area and a 1997 Ford F350 work truck which was owned by Jersey Central Power and Light. During the investigation, it was determined that the man was the lone occupant of the vehicle and he was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated, police say. Contact was made with JCPL and it was also determined that the work truck had been stolen from a JCPL yard in Lakewood.
The 32 year old from New York charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving and Receiving Stolen Property with bail set at $10,000.00. TLS.
