  1. JCPL Lost a substation when they were restoring power now they have to go back and reroute the power through a different station..this one also took out part of howell and brick..gonna be a longer couple days..they are working as fast as they can..but not good enough for some Lakewood Residents..they work 16hrs on and 8 hrs off…even electricians need some sleep..

  2. we, in Westgate also lost power before Shabbos and would like to thank Mr. Langert for being on top of it and assuring us that the power will be restored shortly. Indeed, mr. Langert made a great effort to assure that the workers do not leave until the restoration of power was completed. Thank you Mr. Langert!!!

  3. Been on the phone with JCPL now for over 20 minutes. They said they have no information as to our area, and we tried to tell them that this is not hurricane related and that someone shut us off and should turn us back on.

Additionally, they said only 4 or 5 ppl called, which we informed them is not possible to be accurate.

Bottom line – they have no clue.

  4. thats definitly made up.
well, just wondering why the electricity went off for an hour and a half during the night friday night and it was before the “FIRE THAT CAUSED NO ELECTICITY?” something seems odd.
When we called they said “We should check it out by WEdnesday.” By Wednesday? good luck everyone. guess we godda empathise w everyone!! :()

  5. sometimes this is the only way to teach us how to appreciate everything Hashem gives us & not to take everything for granted. i.e. take something very dear away from yourself when you NEED it & then start using it again a day/week later, you will really appreciate it & also see the amazing ways the way it works etc….

if we stop taking things for granted & show Hashem the proper hakoras hatov we owe, for everything Hashem gives us, then we will not need to lose things, for it to remind us about everything Hashem gave & continues to give us

  6. This is outrageous. Everyone reading this should call JCP&l. Neighborhoods between Raintree and the Villas are knocked out because of this.

  7. What is wrong with you people?!?!?!?! Shut up And stop complaining!!!!!! We’ve been out of power since MONDAY…learn to grow up, wait patiently and stop acting like insane spoiled babies!!!!!

  8. Wonder how Sandy would’ve disconnected my electric meter is she wanted to. Wonder how long it would take them to fix it. Here’s the deal-they knew it was coming-why didn’t THEY prepare like we were asked to? Look for the union label right?!

  9. an electrical wire snapped and was burning so jcp&l had to close the electric. now we have to wait for that wire to be repaired so they can turn the electric back on.

  10. There was a worker from Alabama Power at the brook rd downed wire. He says he’s waiting for a crew that was dispatched to the site. He claims that they will start working on it as soon as the crew arrives and hopefully will be restored very soon!

  11. There are roughly 22 Alabama power trucks in the brook road brook park and schusters farm area working on the situation if they are left alone they can be on track to have it back by midnight.
Let’s hope and pray this IS the case.

  12. Stop your crying!!!! At least you people still have your homes!!! It could be a lot worse than a few nights without power stop being so selfish it’s disgusting!!!
