Brick Woman Nabbed in Lakewood Pleads Guilty to Knife-Point Robbery

Jessica Napolitano, 37, of Brick Township, has pled guilty to Robbery and Burglary charges stemming from two incidents that occurred in Berkeley Township in the early morning hours of October 15, 2024.

According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Napolitano entered The Corner Store on Ocean Gate Drive around 4:20 a.m., brandished a knife at the cashier, and demanded money and cigarettes. After receiving both, she fled the scene.

Just prior to the robbery, Napolitano had attempted to break into the nearby Dollar General on Atlantic City Boulevard by throwing a rock through the front window. She tried to gain access to cigarettes but left the store after her efforts were unsuccessful.

A subsequent investigation identified Napolitano as the individual responsible for both incidents. She was later located in Lakewood Township and taken into custody without incident. Napolitano was transported to the Ocean County Jail but was released under New Jersey Bail Reform guidelines. She is currently being held on an unrelated matter.

Napolitano entered her guilty plea before the Honorable Kenneth T. Palmer, J.S.C., on August 4, 2025. At her upcoming sentencing on September 26, 2025, the State will seek a seven-year term in New Jersey State Prison for the Robbery charge—subject to the No Early Release Act—and a concurrent three-year term for the Burglary charge.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer acknowledged the efforts of the Berkeley Township Police Department and Lakewood Township Police Department, and commended Assistant Prosecutor Taylor Toscano for handling the case on behalf of the State.

Can someone please explain to me the common sense here.
At 4:20 am she pulled out a knife.
A different time she smashed the store front smashed the glass looking for cigarettes.
She is definitely sick and wild.
How can a normal person let this monster go free?
