Brick Township police will have one cruiser equipped with a license plate reader. The Township Council recently approved the purchase of the reader, which can read up to one plate per second in certain conditions which can read up to one plate per second in certain conditions. The system will alert police officers to cars that are potentially being driven by people who have warrants issued for their arrest.
