    • The picture in the article shows 2 cars crashed front end to front end. That is the definition of a head on collision. BDE and refua shlaima b’mhaira to the injured

  1. Sad these accidents keep happening. They are avoidable. I still see so many drivers on their hand held cell phones while driving.

  2. Hi fed up. I can’t say this accident is because of that. However people must take it easy leave extra time for getting places as hard as it is. Someone who drives like that in a rush. Or even weaving in between cars. Cutting off. Speeding. Running lights stop signs. ………. May have a part in man slaughter even if they didn’t physically cause the accident……

Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I do have to disagree with your point about the “leave extra time” thing that you and many others keep bringing up. You need to understand that most people in this town don’t have any extra time to leave. Most people are running from job to responsibilities and have not a minute of extra time on their hands. When the traffic situation in this town is this frustrating it inevitably breeds bad driving habits. Ultimately our elected officials need to do what it takes to fix the problems. As tough as that job with getting federal funding etc that’s what they need to do. Telling people to leave extra time is a disrespectful thing to say as it shows a complete lack of understanding of the situation.

      • Officials can’t fix this problem of irresponsible driving and rushing and driving dangerously (on phone, tailgaiting, running stop signs, running red lights, driving in shoulder). What we need is more officers on road pulling these drivers over and ticketing them and maybe more driver education. Also please buckle up your children. Why do I see children standing in cars instead of being in car seats? Maybe stop the crazy over development before roads can handle this. Jackson roads can’t handle the rapid over development.

      • ANON21 your comment lacks understanding of time management and human courtesy. Yes, people have a schedule and are in a rush to get from place to place. But that doesn’t mean that one can step on someone’s shoes in order to get to the door.

  3. I am not suggesting that bad habits are ok. Or justified. I’m saying it’s inevitable unless we live like malachim. But since we’re human and we’re dealing with thousands of drivers bad habits are inevitable. So elected officials need to fix the horrendous traffic situation in this town that nothing of any significance has ever been done to fix it. You can disagree but at least understand my point

  4. Anon. You are correct some of most don’t have the extra time. But at least don’t put yourself or others at danger even at the cost of being late or even missing appointments………. Aftermath of constantly driving recklessly can cause them or someone else to suffer never mind stealing time from other drivers who are waiting patiently. Sorry if I was misunderstood or stepped on anyone.

    • Good question. From the photo, the black vehicle is firmly in the wrong lane. I’m trying to figure out what would cause a driver to be so far over in the wrong lane.

  5. Jackson roads are hard to drive on..they weren’t designed for the amount of traffic they are now getting…keep developing…keep building hundreds and hundreds of houses and overcrowding countrybroads wuth city drivers… the only”fix” for politicians is to stop overdevelopment. Sadly these types of accidents will become more frequent.

  6. I know the woman in the whore car. Mother of seven babies. This is a tradegy and couldve easily been avoided. Descansa en Karolina Bonilla 🕊️
