As first reported early this morning on our Instagram and Twitter pages, a man was stabbed in Lakewood in a reported robbery.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., police responded to 818 Brook Road, to a 911 call by the victim stating that he was stabbed and robbed.
Upon arrival, the victim, a 42-year-old male from Brick, informed responding officers that he was stabbed in the arm and robbed of his cash by two unknown male suspects.
A second victim, who resided at that location, was located inside the residence and claimed that she was assaulted prior to the robbery.
The male was transported to Brick Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. The second victim was transported to Monmouth Medical Southern Campus to be treated for serious injuries as well.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Eric Cicerello at 732-363-0200 ext 5344.
