BREAKING UPDATE: Jackson Council President Barry Calogero resigns

Jackson Township Council President Barry Calogero resigned in a special Council session held this evening, citing his health and other Township issues.

Calogero came under fire after recent comments he made calling on Governor Murphy to bring the National Guard into Ocean County were seen by many as fanning the flames of anti-Semitism.

Mr. Calogero is also the State Executive Director of the USDA’s Farm Agency, a position that he plans to retain.
