BREAKING: Toms River Council Meeting Ends Abruptly After Anti-Semitic Rant

Tonight’s Toms River Township Council public hearing – which was conducted via Zoom – ended abruptly after a bizarre, anti-Semitic rant from a resident who apparently hacked the call.

TLS will not be publishing the comments due to the crass and vulgar nature.

Notably, Councilman James Quinlisk, who represents Ward 3, can be seen laughing while the comments were being made.

Tonight’s agenda included the controversial resolution to eliminate several police captain positions in favor of creating eight additional, full-time Cso/Emt Emergency Responders and providing for additional 24/7 Ambulance Service.

Tonight’s Council meeting was then moved to Zoom “[t]o ensure the safety of its participants and to give those who wish to speak the opportunity,” Council President Craig Coleman said in a statement last week.

The meeting concluded before the council was able to vote on the ordinance, which also eliminated the public relations position from the police department.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

  1. “Crass & Vulgar” is a bad thing. But these days considering how we label everything we do not like “Antisemitism” I’d first like to know if they said anything about us that wasn’t true?

  2. Why waste time, they will ALWAYS hate us regardless of any circumstances!!!

there’s no band wagon to jump on
just let dead dogs lie and move on!!!!

  3. As a long time Toms River resident, I am ashamed of all the anti-semitism and outright hatred towards the Jewish people. Most of us DO NOT feel this way and these anti-semites actions are reprehensible and shameful.

  4. James (Jim) Quinlisk is a known anti-semite and should be removed from his position in disgrace. To sit there laughing at anti-semitic rhetoric is disgusting. We need to get rid of these bigoted individuals expeditiously.
