Approximately 200 public school students, administrators, Board of Education members and members of the public are heading to court today over the promised – but nixed – finding.
Attorneys will make oral arguments today in regards to the funds Governor Murphy had placed into the budget for Lakewood, but which were subsequently removed by the Legislature.
Should the district not receive the promised funds by July 1, services would be placed in jeopardy, and the district could stop operations.
