One person has reportedly been killed in fire which broke out this afternoon inside a trailer home in Toms River, TLS has learned. A cat has also died in the fire.
By the time police arrived at the Roberts Trailer Park, the home was fully engulfed and the officers’ attempts to gain entry were unsuccessful due to the heavy smoke conditions and intensity of the flames, police said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.

sorry to say, but the headline does look cynical. If a human is a casualty of a fire, then the tragedy is diminished by the writing of the pet’s demise in the same sentence. Yes. We have to worry about tzaar baalei chaim. But a human death is the real sad part of this story.
