BREAKING: Off-duty Law Enforcement Officer killed in Lakewood Accident [PHOTOS]

An off-duty law enforcement officer has died in an accident in Lakewood this morning, officials confirmed to TLS.

The officer, from out of town, went off the road at approximately 4:00 AM, crashing into a concrete wall, police said. The vehicle came to rest near a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials say.

No other vehicles were involved.

The identify of the officer has not yet been released.

An investigation is underway.
