[DOCUMENTS BELOW] TLS has learned that a Decision was issued by the Office of Administrative Law (OAL), Trenton, New Jersey late this afternoon concluding that the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) acted in an arbitrary, capriciously, and unreasonable fashion when it previously denied the Special Children’s Center application to become a Sate approved private school for the disabled.
In fact, Judge John Schuster III, in his Decision in describing the actions of the Department of Education in Trenton when reviewing the Center’s application wrote, “Its investigation was a sham, and its conclusion was contrary to the facts before it.”
When TLS contacted the attorney who successfully represented the Special Children’s Center, Michael I Inzelbuch Esq., he stated, “I haven’t had a chance to review and thoroughly analyze the Decision yet, but I can tell you one thing, it proves once again that no one in Lakewood –no group, no people, no kids –public or private, have any truly concerned friends in the DOE in Trenton. This is the beginning. The Board, the citizens, the seniors, the great mosaic of Lakewood, the public, the Rabbis, the reverends, me, everyone – all need to work together to get more equitable funding and support for our kids in Lakewood. We all need to stop allowing our differences to be played on by the swamp at the Department of Education in Trenton. We can and will make Lakewood great, again only if this happens. We need unity.”
