BREAKING NEWS: (PHOTOS & VIDEO) Tens of officers have just taken down a man perhaps trying to commit suicide by cop. The man was wielding a 10 inch knife at the corner of 7th and Clifton when police were called. Police swarmed the area and called in SWAT when the man wasn’t giving up. He was finally cornered at the corner of 6th and Forest by the SUV of Greg Miick. The man-injured by the vehicle is being transported to KMC by EMS. Video will be posted soon.
U/D 11:35 p.m. Correction: The SWAT team was not mobilized-rather there were 4-5 SWAT team members who assisted in the chase and were responsible for taking down the dangerous man. (Mobile users click here to view video on youtube).

Did Wilson ticket Miik for getting too close to the perp?? I think he may have endangered innocent bystanders. Wadda you think? 🙂 Gotta try to meet up with Wilson and see what he thinks about the situation and how he would’ve handled it. Probably less officers,no need to disturb the chief…I’ll be looking for him in Shoprite. He works best there.

please do NOT bring up officer wilson here. I was appalled at what he did to the Hatzala member, but there’s no point in rehashing and continuous bashing, especially when the LPD have so much to be appreciated for, especially in this case! were you there last night!???!?! There were TONS of people out in the street!! The fact that the police managed to isolate the dangerous man and ONLY hit him, and no one else was hurt. It was a sight to see (that we should never see!). Give credit where credit is due!!
