EXCLUSIVE: BOE member Carl Fink has decided not to run for Township Committee TLS has learned, just one day after announcing his consideration for the position, following Bob Singer’s withdrawal. Carl has given TLS the following statement: “As I mentioned yesterday, I will make my final decision on my own. I have now made my decision. Based on family medical concerns, and other considerations, I have decided not to run for Township Committee. I ask that everyone respect my decision and allow me to focus on continuing serving this Town through the BOE”.
“I want to wish all the candidates much success with there future endeavors.”
“I would like to thank those who expressed faith in my possible candidacy, it is good to know I have that many friends. I hope this is not a let down to any of you.”
So who will be taking Singer’s place? HH?
FYI anyone who runs in Singers spot, we will not support you. Issac Akerman is taking this election by a LANDSLIDE!!
why did singer drop out
we need to get someone in there to beat Isaac. we cannot allow him to win!!! HELP LAKEWOOD!
Just make sure Bob doesn’t run in the past couple of years taxes have doubled there is no excuse. Akerman has my vote
Albert, keep going strong the oilam is squarely behind you theres no looking back only pushing forward
Carl, you made the right decision.
Thank You for all your service, and we wish you continued success on the BOE.
May You, Your Family, and all of our community and their families be blessed with a Happy Healthy Prosperous New Year!
akerman, your our man
I truly believe that we will have lower taxes should Akerman win
Go Albert Akerman!!!
Never a dull moment in Lakewood!!!
# 4 must be a LAC memeber. Go Isaac!!
Albert, now you will be able to get the senior vote. You have the majority of the frum vote (HH got 70% of the Frum vote) Dont repeat HH mistake work on getting the senior vote
Elected officals have to make lowering property taxes their #1 priority. It Can be done as Christie has done it.
It seems all the good people of Lakewood are always chatized for trying to do the right thing. Saving taxes was huge for the whole community and yet people still complain when individuals want to make a difference. I guess some will never change. Whats good for one community is not good for other communities
TT mistake very costly.
Akerman a far more credible candidate for taxpayers, and an all around mensch. Plus he is independent. A slam dunk!
very astute political analysis. you believe he will lower your taxes? how? 2 examples would be a bright ray of sunshine. but you keep looking through the rose-colored glasses. oy vey are we scr–ed.
where is my post???? it was factual and correct
nevermind found it…lol
Independant season? Akerman is the king maker. He can choose to be with the Dems. or the Repubs. come Jan. 1st. Steve may just become part of the minority party! How’s that for a twist of fate?
How are you going to lower taxes? Why will you be different than Steve Langert who also tried but couldn’t lower taxes?
TT was not a mistake. It saved the taxpayers huge. This is a case of whats good for your community not ours, How about the $18M in bussing costs. Is this good for all Lakewood???
Isaac will do no more for taxes as his record on the planning board shows. Review his votes.
If he wins-HH wins. Bussing will be 40M in two years
We have not heard from Ackerman at all. Why is everyone throwing him their support. Hershel was always out there discussing his plans for the taxpayer.
Albert, please come out and talk to the community on the issues that matter!!
why not have Ackerman replace Singer now ?
Go Isaac, go !! ur gonna be gr8 !! U have my, and my whole family’s Vote !!
Why does everybody have so much faith in ackerman what has he done to earn any of this?
“Lakewood resident”, you ask “How about the $18M in bussing costs. Is this good for all Lakewood???”.
Is public school good for all Lakewood???
I am hearing this story is Lakewoods “Color War”
Why is Ackerman any better than HH ! Let hh finish what he started. He caused Singer to resign let him complete his project.
Has steve even officially stepped aside?
If Bob reallly did drop out then why isnt this being reported by the Asbury PArk Press? This is major news for them
You worry about $18 million spent on busing? At least you get value for your money. I worry about $138 million wasted on 6 out of 6 schools failing, year after year. Get your priorities straight. The only thing this district does right (most of the time) is the busing.
if we are able to cut the cost of bussing and put more money back into all the schools would everyone be happy
