2. The Russian have historically been a challenge to our foreign policy since John Quincy Adams promulgated the Monroe Doctrine to keep them out of the Pacific Northwest. Wilson sent General Pershing into Russia when the Communist took over. Herbert Hoover and his food program was our greatest success with Russia. Shame on us today for needing Russian launch vehicles to get our people in space.

   We must keep an eye on China and the Pacific. China is our historic ally since the colonial period with trade and with the Open Door policy in 1898. China will be our greatest foreign policy challenge because they will soon have a larger economy. Nixon did right for America by reopening trade.

   The alliance with Britain will maintain the Atlantic. We need to also defend the Persian Gulf. No more. Atlantic, Pacific and Persian Gulf (and of course North and South America) are the US vital interests.

Watchman… How can you have the nerve and call an American hero “cesspool” maybe get of the couch and put yourself in harms way he made a minor mistake unlike all the Democratic senators in the past having meetings with foreign governments to undermine our national security witch really are a lot worst it’s called treason!!!!

   It was Donald Trump’s attempt to undermine the whole democracy, to get rid of checks and balances, and put together a team with no experience in their field.
   Thankfully there ARE checks and balances, and there ARE 3 branches of government that keep this country in line.
   The fact that he was a hero doesn’t make him a good National Security Advisor. And billionaires don’t mean they are successful in gov’t.
   Hopefully he is the first of many.

10. Kind of interesting how all those commentators bring Hillary when this has nothing to do with her. Trump won. Hillary is history. Now the buck stoops at Trump.

11. The Obama crew had him in their sights from before the election. Just saying. Meanwhile former Obama DHS czar used his private email for official business. Where’s the media on that? He should share a cell with Hillary. No Wi-Fi.
