Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles has filed to run for reelection, and has been endorsed by the Democratic Club, along with running mate Moshe Raitzik.
Coles has been serving on the Township Committee since 2001, and Raitzik served as his running mate in 2011, and in 2014. Raitzik lost the 2011 seat to Republican Steven Langert, and in 2014 to Republican Mike D’Elia – who is also running for re-election along with Mike Berman.
“Serving the people of Lakewood has been one of the highlights of my life,” Mayor Coles tells TLS. “I look forward to the upcoming campaign and humbly ask the residents of Lakewood for their support for Moshe and myself.”
Raitzik currently serves on the Board of Education, but his seat expires at the end of the year.
“I am honored to have been chosen by the Democratic Club, and I look forward to running with Mayor Coles, once again.”
The Primaries are June 7.
