BREAKING: Mass shooting at Ft. Lauderdale Airport leaves multiple people dead, others injured [UPDATED]

Multiple people are dead and others injured in a mass shooting at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, international airport this afternoon.

The shooting happened at the baggage claim area around 1 PM.

Up to five are reported dead, and about 10 others injured, according to reports.

A suspect – who reportedly had on him military ID – is in custody. He was reportedly born in New Jersey, and said to be approximately 27 years old.

All operations were temporarily suspended at the airport.
